Russellville Environmental Control Committee

The Environmental Control Committee manages and supports the permitting process within Russellville. This includes new builds, and existing home remodel or improvement projects. Here are the objectives of the Environmental Control Committee:

  

  1. Preserve character and natural surroundings of Russellville
  2. Facilitate contact between Russellville residents and county building department


Here are the steps that a Russellville homeowner should follow during the planning stages of a project:

  

  1. Contact the ECC with completed Project Review Form
  2. ECC reviews; meets with homeowner (as needed) to go over plans, site, etc.
  3. ECC members discuss and share with homeowner any concerns
  4. Homeowner applies for permits w/ Douglas County
  5. Douglas County contacts ECC for approval
  6. ECC sends completed Project Review Form to Douglas County
  7. Permits granted, assuming project meets county requirements
